eTwinning My Childhood Bucket List – Part 7

May was a month filled with creativity, collaboration, and profound messages, during which our students proved that imagination knows no borders.

Our communication with the partner schools culminated in a live video conference. After sharing our experiences, the children:

·         Played and discovered: They participated in an interactive Kahoot Challenge with questions based on their dream movie watched earlier in the year, with one of our school teams enthusiastically winning first place!

·         Sang: They filled us with pride by singing a song about dreams in Greek to their friends abroad, sharing our own cultural imprint with the team. At the same time, they had the opportunity to enjoy the partners' songs performed in their respective mother tongues, creating a beautiful exchange of musical cultures.

We completed this wonderful journey with a collaborative writing project. Utilising the characters created by the learners and described in a previous activity, we proceeded to write a digital collaborative book. Our heroes were divided into 4 major categories:

·         Elemental Guardians

·         Water and Life Guardians

·         Forest and Animal Guardians

·         Sky and Space Guardians

Working in transnational teams, the children wove 4 different stories.

1. Earth’s Crystal Heart in Trouble

2. The Three Superheroes and the Dark Ocean Mystery

3. The Whisper of the Lost Forest

4. Kindness, the Key to Saving the Planet

The spectacular finale? All the stories converged on a shared celestial sign, which brought all the heroes together for a sacred purpose: the creation of a Time Capsule. There, each hero placed something symbolic, explaining which childhood value or dream they wished to protect for future generations.

In closing, we proceeded to the evaluation stage. It is incredibly important for us to gauge the impact of the project, which is why the participation of children, teachers, and parents in the final questionnaires was crucial, confirming the highly positive resonance of the initiative. The results showed that the project fully achieved its primary goal of promoting student well-being, while also strengthening the bonds between the schools and offering students an unforgettable experiential learning opportunity.

With the completion of this endeavour, we find that through 'My Childhood Bucket List', our students did not only sharpen their digital and language skills, but also learned to dream without limits and collaborate as global citizens!

eTwinning My Childhood Bucket List – Part 6

Childhood Dreams: A Global Manifesto

A world crafted from the essence of their dreams was presented by the students participating in the European eTwinning programme "My Childhood Bucket List" for their assigned April activity. Through creative collaboration with partner schools across Europe, these young protagonists proved that imagination and hope know no borders, creating a collective Manifesto of how they envision their ideal reality.

The process followed was a genuine lesson in democracy and cooperation. Initially, students were divided into groups, where everyone had the opportunity to express their individual wishes and proposals. This was followed by an in-depth discussion, where each group refined their members' ideas to reach a comprehensive, shared proposal. In the final stage, these proposals were put to a plenary vote to select the prevailing vision that would represent our class in the transnational manifesto. In this way, personal goals were transformed into a collective effort to highlight the values that should govern our society.

The Pillars of the Manifesto

The students identified several key categories that compose their "ideal world":

  • Environment: A demand for a clean planet, emphasising the protection of natural resources and a drastic reduction in pollution.
  • Children's Rights & Safety: The fundamental right of every child to grow up in an environment of absolute safety, where the protection of childhood is a non-negotiable priority.
  • Childhood: Every child deserves to be happy. Our learners envision a childhood filled with love, care, and laughter.
  • Animals: A special focus on the care of stray animals, aiming for their adoption by warm families or their placement in organised shelters.
  • Peace: A definitive end to conflicts to ensure global peace, so that every child can build their future without fear.
  • Education: A modern, welcoming school that serves as a source of joy, inspiration, and creative learning experiences.
  • Family: The foundation of society, described as an environment of love, security, and acceptance for every child.
  • Responsibility: The students declare that no one is too young to take action, firmly believing that even small acts can bring about great change.

This eTwinning activity highlighted how collaboration between different cultures can result in a shared vision. The students didn't just list desires; they laid the foundations for a more just and humane world.

As we conclude this beautiful project, we keep one great truth as our guide:

The voice of children is the clearest compass for the future!

eTwinning My Childhood Bucket List – Part 5

March was a month of creative explosion for our eTwinning project, “My Childhood Bucket List-Primary Edition,” as our screens overflowed with colour, imagination, and... the Heroes and Heroines of our Dreams!

Our journey began with us stepping into the role of "digital artists." Each school experimented with various Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, testing different prompts and artistic styles. After comparing the results, we selected the best image to give shape and colour to our Dream Hero/Heroine and added them to our collaborative presentation!

But a hero is more than just looks. To give them a true identity, we worked in transnational teams. Together with our friends from schools abroad, we filled out their profiles based on the following:

  • Connection to Nature: What is their special relationship with the environment and its elements?
  • Superpower: What unique gift makes them stand out?
  • Protection: Which part of the universe have they sworn to protect?
  • Weakness: What is the apect that makes them vulnerable?
  • Mission: What is their ultimate goal for the future?
  • Motto: What is the inspiring message that unites us?

Next, we took all the mottos we wrote with our partners and fed them into an AI music generation tool. The result? A brand-new song that got everyone dancing!

Listen to our song:

This rhythm, however, wasn't just a sound—it was our collective voice. Because behind every digital hero and every lyric lies a team of children from different countries who learned to dream together. As it turns out, our greatest "superpower" of all is collaboration!

eTwinning My Childhood Bucket List – Part 4

Lights, Camera… Safety!

In February, our project "My Childhood Bucket List" proved that even the biggest dreams need the right "digital" instructions. We transformed our classrooms into safety workshops and cinema halls, laying solid foundations for our children’s digital journeys so that they can let their imagination run wild—without fear!

Becoming Digital Explorers

We kicked things off by celebrating Safer Internet Day in a way that truly put our students in the shoes of a digital explorer. Through the activity "If this were my screen", students engaged in deep reflection. Each class described a real-life problem a child might encounter online and uploaded these "digital challenges" on a collaborative board.

Then, something magical happened: classes from other countries became our consultants! They responded with clever advice on the best ways to react, creating a transnational shield of protection for everyone involved.

A Dreamy Day at the Movies

Since the ultimate goal of any childhood bucket list is to see dreams come true, we organised our very own Dream Movie Day—and the experience was soul-stirring. Cinema teaches us to dream big and dare even bigger!

Students from all partner schools voted on six wonderful children’s movies centered around the theme of dreams. Once the winning film was announced, our school transformed into a living cinema. We recreated the full theatre experience—from the excitement of printing and tearing authentic tickets at the door to the nostalgic popcorn aroma filling the hall. It wasn't just a movie; it was a cinematic voyage that left our students brimming with inspiration and excitement!

From the Screen to the Canvas

After the screening, the children channelled their excitement into art! Under the guidance of our Art Teacher, our students became little creators, painting their favourite characters chasing their dreams. This transformed our classrooms into vibrant "Dream Galleries."

At the end of the day, we weren't just left with colourful sketches; we were left with the certainty that no dream is too big if you have the courage to take the first step!

eTwinning My Childhood Bucket List – Part 3

The month of January was a true dive into the world of imagination for us! Within the framework of our eTwinning project, our students started the new year with hearts full of dreams, joining their voices with children from all the participating countries in order to create something truly magical: A monthly calendar… made of dreams and words!
Working in transnational teams, the students collaborated to write and illustrate its pages. Each month carries a wish; each image represents a dream that the children envision for every child in the world. Words like "peace," "friendship," "safety," and "love" were given colour and form, reminding us of what truly matters.

After this, all partners together created our "Map of Dreams"—a digital interactive map where each child placed their own "pin" on the destination they dream of visiting, explaining the reasons why that specific place enchants them.

Take a look at a snapshot of our map below:

The most beautiful part? The interaction! The children explored their partners' "pins," left comments, exchanged impressions, and discovered common destinations and shared desires.

Take a look at a snapshot showing a sample travel destination and comment:

Beyond individual desires, however, each class functioned as a small team of travellers! We discussed, we dreamed, and we decided on a shared "dream destination" per class, mentally planning our own great journey around the world.

Because dreams don't need passports, and our wishes can reach everywhere when we share them!

eTwinning “My Childhood Bucket List_Primary Edition” – Part 2

December was a month full of creativity, celebration, and meaningful collaboration for students and teachers from all partner schools. A series of shared festive activities sparked off the learners’ imagination, strengthened teamwork and gave the children the opportunity to experience a rich cultural exchange.

To begin with, the students from all participating schools took part in a transnational voting process to choose the “Dream School Day.” The idea that received the most votes was joyfully celebrated during our online meeting: a pyjama party with board games! It was a day filled with smiles, relaxation, laughter, and plenty of fun, perfectly capturing the spirit of togetherness.

During this month, the children created handmade greeting cards, which were uploaded to a shared collaborative digital noticeboard, allowing students to exchange festive wishes with their European partners.

A true highlight of the month was the much-anticipated online meeting of all schools. During this live session, students connected in real time to exchange wishes and dreams for the future. Together, they also contributed to a word cloud of New Year wishes, beautifully reflecting the shared hopes, values, and optimism of all participants.

During the same meeting, the winning project logo and poster were announced following the voting process. We are incredibly proud that both winning designs came from our school, created by the imagination, creativity, and enthusiasm of the 3rd Grade students.

The programme concluded with a joyful cultural exchange, as partner schools shared festive songs and, in some cases, traditional dances from their countries. This experience gave the children the chance to discover different traditions and truly feel the power of European cooperation.

Once again, these activities highlighted the role of eTwinning as a bridge of communication, creativity, and cultural connection, bringing schools from different countries and cultures together and proving that learning knows no geographical borders.

eTwinning “My Childhood Bucket List_Primary Edition” – Part 1

Our new eTwinning project, “My Childhood Bucket List – Primary Edition”, involving classes St2, D1, and C is a project that invites pupils to dream big and express their hopes for the future through creative activities. Children create their own childhood bucket lists and reflect on how important it is to have goals, imagination, and aspirations from an early age.

As part of this project, we are collaborating with schools from Turkey, Lithuania, Romania, Ukraine, Poland, Italy, and Greece, building a vibrant European learning community.

From the very beginning, the students actively collaborated and got to know their European partners through a wide range of creative and engaging activities. As a first step, each child designed their own digital avatar using an artificial intelligence tool, based on a personal description they provided. Along with their virtual self, students wrote a short introductory text about their interests and preferences, helping everyone to get to know one another better. The teachers followed the same process, so both students and educators proudly presented their digital identities.

At the same time, all students introduced their cities -the places where their dreams are born- by contributing to a shared collaborative digital book, offering a colorful mosaic of cultures, places, and stories.

During this month, students, teachers, and parents were also invited to complete introductory questionnaires, aiming to explore trends, experiences, dreams, and expectations connected to childhood aspirations.

In addition, each participating class designed its own project logo and poster, creatively capturing the children’s ideas, excitement, and sample dreams through graphic design. All logos and posters were uploaded to digital notice boards, where a voting process will take place next month to select the designs that will officially represent the project.

This dynamic start has set the tone for an inspiring journey -one filled with creativity, collaboration, and big dreams across Europe.
