eTwinning My Childhood Bucket List – Part 7

May was a month filled with creativity, collaboration, and profound messages, during which our students proved that imagination knows no borders.

Our communication with the partner schools culminated in a live video conference. After sharing our experiences, the children:

·         Played and discovered: They participated in an interactive Kahoot Challenge with questions based on their dream movie watched earlier in the year, with one of our school teams enthusiastically winning first place!

·         Sang: They filled us with pride by singing a song about dreams in Greek to their friends abroad, sharing our own cultural imprint with the team. At the same time, they had the opportunity to enjoy the partners' songs performed in their respective mother tongues, creating a beautiful exchange of musical cultures.

We completed this wonderful journey with a collaborative writing project. Utilising the characters created by the learners and described in a previous activity, we proceeded to write a digital collaborative book. Our heroes were divided into 4 major categories:

·         Elemental Guardians

·         Water and Life Guardians

·         Forest and Animal Guardians

·         Sky and Space Guardians

Working in transnational teams, the children wove 4 different stories.

1. Earth’s Crystal Heart in Trouble

2. The Three Superheroes and the Dark Ocean Mystery

3. The Whisper of the Lost Forest

4. Kindness, the Key to Saving the Planet

The spectacular finale? All the stories converged on a shared celestial sign, which brought all the heroes together for a sacred purpose: the creation of a Time Capsule. There, each hero placed something symbolic, explaining which childhood value or dream they wished to protect for future generations.

In closing, we proceeded to the evaluation stage. It is incredibly important for us to gauge the impact of the project, which is why the participation of children, teachers, and parents in the final questionnaires was crucial, confirming the highly positive resonance of the initiative. The results showed that the project fully achieved its primary goal of promoting student well-being, while also strengthening the bonds between the schools and offering students an unforgettable experiential learning opportunity.

With the completion of this endeavour, we find that through 'My Childhood Bucket List', our students did not only sharpen their digital and language skills, but also learned to dream without limits and collaborate as global citizens!
